I've been a contributor to a number of forums online in the past, and this one is totally new to me and looks great. I found it in finding the NFL Pick 5 contest. Anyone who has been here a long time, please tell me how long this site has been around and what its strengths and weaknesses are. Thanks! Seems like a great community.
Site has been around since 1998 and has passed through different ownership a couple times. The founder died tragically about 10 years ago and new management has allowed discourse to degenerate significantly. Used to be a fun place to post picks, discuss the industry and hang out. Has since been taken over by white supremacists, nazis, anti maskers, weirdos, freaks and nutjobs that flame the hell out of each other 24 7. Take a look at the main "sportsbetting" forum (which rarely discusses sports) if you can stomach it. Mainly 4 or 5 posters with ultra right views that intimidate, insult and threaten anyone that challenges their opinions.
To anyone who can answer this question: Someone has requested to "friend me" and I was wondering about any privacy issues there are if I allow it. I don't know this person, obviously, and was just wondering what access he/she will have that potentially could be problematic. Thanks in advance.
